The AI answer recognition feature on the engageSPARK platform enables our system to discern the intended answer from a contact, even if it doesn’t precisely match one of the valid options you provided. I’ll provide a few examples below to demonstrate this.
Typos and Spelling Variations:
Scenario: A survey asks respondents about their primary source of income, with options like “farming,” “trading,” and “fishing.” However, a respondent responds with “farmig” due to a typo. The AI recognizes the similarity between “farmig” and “farming” through fuzzy matching algorithms and interprets the response accurately.
Abbreviations and Shortened Responses:
A question asks respondents to indicate their level of education, with options like “primary,” “secondary,” and “university.” A respondent replies with “uni” instead of “university.” The AI understands common abbreviations and variations, mapping “uni” to “university” to ensure accurate categorization of education levels.
Unexpected Single-Word Responses:
Scenario: A survey question asks respondents about their current living conditions, with options like “urban” and “rural.” Unexpectedly, a respondent replies with “city.” The AI employs natural language processing techniques to understand synonyms and related terms, interpreting “city” as equivalent to “urban” for classification purposes.
This means with AI-enhanced answer recognition enabled for your SMS and WhatsApp surveys, you are likely to get more completed surveys, accurate data and will also spend less money on those surveys.
How do I enable the AI feature for my campaigns:
- Start by creating your SMS or WhatsApp Survey
- Under Specific Response, Click on the “AI enhanced answer recognition button.”
- A pop-up box with details and an example of how the AI feature will appear. Click on the “Enable AI” button to enable it.
- The toggle button will turn green. This indicates the AI feature has been enabled for that particular question.
Note:
- You will have to enable this feature on each question you plan on using it.
- We’ll forward data to a large language model like ChatGPT. Only the question and the contact’s reply will be sent, excluding any personal information like phone numbers or names, unless it is included within the question or reply.
