How to delete a group
It’s not always easy to predict the exact number of groups that will be needed for future campaigns. Or, sometimes certain groups are just no longer required. Whatever the case may be, we’ll show you how to safely delete any groups you no longer need.
It’s useful to know
When you delete a group, the contacts inside that group will not be deleted; they’ll still be in the main pool of contacts and in any other group or segment they are already in.
So, if you’d like to delete a group and its contacts, you’ll need to delete the contacts first and then delete the group. We have the steps on how to delete contacts here.
To delete a group, follow these steps:
- Click on the Contacts button.
- Click the pencil icon located to the left of the group in question. A pop-up window will appear.
- Click on the Delete Group button on the bottom left of the window. A warning window will pop up.
- After that, click Delete.
The group will be removed from the Groups list. If you have a lot of groups to delete and think the method outlined above will be too time-consuming, please contact us and we’ll take care of it for you.
