How to use question and choice labels?

First things first, what do we mean when we are talking about “labels”?

When you are creating any sort of campaign, whether it be SMS blasts, Drip campaigns, Voice blasts, Voice IVR surveys, SMS surveys, WhatsApp surveys, or CATI surveys – on the questions and choices you will see the following icons:

These icons will allow you to rename the question title and the choice titles to your liking to easily differentiate them from your other messages, questions, and choices. Also.  it will make your survey reports easier to read.

Labels are basically just a name or title for your questions and choices.

How do labels work?

Go into whatever campaign you are creating. Now let’s say for question 1 you are asking your contacts’ gender. You can rename question 1 and the choices like so:

What you see here is that instead of just having Question 1, we now have the label “Gender question” and for the choices, instead of 1, 2 and 3 we’ve added labels to specify what each of those numbers represent.

This might seem like a waste of time but, trust us, it will be worth it!

Once you have your survey launched and completed, download your campaign report (steps on how to do that here) and you will see the following:

Had we not added labels, we would only see “Question 1” and the choice as “1”.

Labels make reading your reports a lot simpler and easier on the eyes. So even though you might spend a few extra minutes adding these, we highly recommend it.
