Note they don’t say mobile ownership. I am a Kenyan and our mobile telephony penetration is at 75.4 per 100 persons. I work in the mobile industry and I increasingly see how agencies are adopting use of mobile phones to help in their work – like World Vision. The problem has always been in taking the plunge, but in the next 2 years, I’m hopeful more NGOs (& even Government agencies) will embrace the mobile technology. All in all, that you for the article, its engaging. And women and increasingly fighting to be appreciated by the mobile tech industry. Have you noticed majority of winners in promotions in the mobile industry are women? Have you ever been to the marketplace and seen the way the women store their phones in their bras? And its not because women are more than men.That’s progress.
